Nabarun Deb
About MeI completed my Ph.D. from the Statistics Department at Columbia University, New York. I was jointly advised by Prof. Bodhisattva Sen and Prof. Sumit Mukherjee. I did my Bachelors and Masters in Statistics from Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. Here is a copy of my CV. Currently, I am the inaugural PIMS Kantotrovich Initiative Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. I am jointly advised by Prof. Young-Heon Kim, Prof. Soumik Pal, and Prof. Geoffrey Schiebinger. In July, 2023, I will be joining The University of Chicago Booth School of Business as an Assistant Professor in the Econometrics and Statistics group. ResearchMy research interests include nonparametric inference, theory of optimal transport and its applications in statistics, kernel methods and nearest neighbor graphs, multiple hypotheses testing, network (Ising) models, fluctuations and theory of dependent observations, and causal inference.
